Waste Pro is a company dedicated to building exceptional resource ecosystems that protect the environment and sustain our communities. Commercial waste will be collected in carts, mechanical dumpsters, roll off open tops roll containers or compactors. Mechanical dumpsters are 1-, 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-cubic yards in size. Compactors and open tops are available in sizes 20, 30, and 40 cubic yards. Ninety-six (96) trash carts are also available to business for trash collection use.
Services for commercial trash and garbage will be provided at least one (1) time per week for customers that generate dry waste, and at least two (2) times per week for customers that generate putrescible waste (e.g. restaurants, grocery stores and other business that generate food wastes). Services are provided six days per week.

Waste Pro is proud to announce S.C.O.R.E. (Saving Commercial Office Recyclables Every day). Through this innovative program, North Miami Beach residents can recycle office materials along with their residential pickup.
How does it work? Simply take your office recyclables home and place them in your bin or cart. Waste Pro will collect them curbside.
S.C.O.R.E. is just another way to help your community GO GREEN.
Open top containers are available from ten (10) to thirty (30) cubic yard sizes.
Service is available from Monday to Saturday.

All single-family residents will receive a black ninety-five 96-gallon black garbage cart which will be serviced (2) two times per week. Your garbage collection days will remain the same as your current schedule. Please place all household garbage in your 96-gallon cart and place the cart at curbside on collection day. Other guidelines to follow:
- Place your black 96-gallon garbage cart for collection within five (5) feet of the street by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick up days. It is important to always have the cart facing the street (i.e. the handles are located on the cart side closest to your residence.
- Each black 96-gallon garbage cart is equipped with an easy open and close lid and wheels for easy movement to the curb.
- All garbage items placed in the carts should not extend above the rim of the cart.
- Containers such as paper bags, cardboard boxes, recycling bins and oil drums cannot be used as garbage containers. You must use the cart.
- The collection of mirrors, glass tabletops, windowpanes, plate glass, etc., will not be picked up unless they are properly and safely placed in a rigid container.
- Used oil, paints, insecticides, chemicals, automotive parts, batteries, tires, medical waste including hypodermic needles and syringes and hazardous waste will not be collected.

Trac-EZ will send the field supervisor a smart phone message and he/she will promptly address the missed pick up. You will be able to follow/monitor the progress of your request on-line through Trac-EZ.
Your bulk trash and vegetative waste will be collected once per month. Waste will keep the same bulk and yard waste collection days the same as your current schedule. NO CHANGE IN MONTHLY COLLECTION DAY. Bulk and vegetative waste may be placed at the curb or alley no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the evening before your collection day. A published schedule will be mailed to you and a collection schedule for all services will also be posted on the City’s website. Other guidelines include:
- Bulk and yard waste items include household goods such as couches, chairs, mattresses, tables, appliances (white goods), carpet and padding, etc. It also includes unbundled yard waste such as tree trimmings, branches, palm fronds, tree branches and brush.
- Place all items for collection within (5) feet of the street or in alley by 7:00 am on the scheduled pick-up day to ensure pick-up.
- Bulk items must be placed curbside in a neat and orderly manner and clear of mailboxes, utility poles, fences, etc.
- Bulk waste and yard waste materials must be generated by the resident at the residential unit where the bulk is collected.
- The allowable limit for bulk and vegetative yard trash collection is (20) twenty cubic yards of waste per bulk/vegetative waste per collection day. If your pile is larger than (20) twenty cubic yards, it will be tagged, and you will need to call Waste Pro and request a special bulk pick up. The bulk pile will be surveyed, and an estimate will be given. You may opt to keep the additional trash and set it out on your next bulk collection day for no additional charge, if it is within the allowable limit.
- Vegetative yard trash may be set out to the curb in biodegradable bags, plastic bags or rigid containers. Vegetative yard trash may also be tied bundled or stacked in piles at curbside.
- There is no size limit on length, weight or diameter of a single piece of vegetative yard trash.

RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING NOW EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY
All single-family residents will receive a blue 65-gallon recycling cart which will be serviced every other week. NOTE THAT YOUR RECYCLING COLLECTION DAY WILL OCCUR EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY.
- Please place all household recyclables in your 65-gallon cart and place the cart at curbside/alley on collection day. To avoid interruption with your curbside/alley recycling collection service, the following rules should apply:
- Place your blue 65-gallon recycle cart for collection within five (5) feet of the street by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick up days. It is important to always have the cart facing the street (i.e. the handles are located on the cart side closest to your residence
- Each blue 65-gallon garbage cart is equipped with an easy open and close lid and wheels for easy movement to the curb.
- Household Recyclable items include:
- Plastic bottles
- Plastics coded # 1-5
- Newspapers
- Steel cans
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Tin Cans
- Gable top Drink Containers
- Glasses of all colors
- Catalogues & Magazines
- Cereal Boxes
- Aluminum cans
- Paper
- All recyclable items can be commingled in the recycle cart. See the label on the cart lid for a list of recyclable items.
- Flatten all boxes and place them in your blue recycling cart and we will pick them up on your recycling collection day. Boxes larger than 18” X 24” must be set out on your bulk pick up day for recycling collection.
- Newspapers must be placed loose in the recycling cart and not packed into a paper or plastic bag for collection.
- Do not put any items in the recycling cart that are not specified as part of the recycling program, otherwise the cart will not be collected. These items are not acceptable: tires, Styrofoam, aerosol cans, hoses, plastic toys and plastic bags.
- Recycling carts shall not be set out no later than 7:00 p.m. the day of pick-up. Empty carts must be removed from the curb by 7:00 p.m. on collection day.

RECYCLING DROP-OFF CENTERS
North Miami Beach residents may also take their recyclable materials to one of the City of North Miami Beach recycling drop-off centers. The materials listed above will be accepted at these centers. There will be recycling materials container receptacles located at the centers with recyclable material type labels. The recycling centers are located at:

Q1. Is my service going to change?
- Yes and No
- NO, your garbage service WILL NOT change. It will be collected (2) two times per week in the Waste Pro provided 96-gallon black garbage cart on your same current collection days schedule.
- NO, your bulk trash and vegetative waste WILL NOT change . It will be collected monthly on your current collection days schedule.
- YES, your recycling service will change to EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY Recycling materials will be collected in the Waste Pro provide 65-gallon blue recycling cart. Please click here for a map of your service area collection day.
Q2. What happens if I cannot fit all my regular garbage inside the garbage cart, can I put it on the side of the cart?
- No, if you are not able to place all your garbage inside the cart, then you must wait until your next regular garbage pick-up day and place it in the cart at that time.
- Other Options:
- (1) Attempt to recycle all you can
- (2) Request a special pick up by contacting Waste Pro
- (3) You may request an additional garbage cart for a one-time charge of $75.00.
Q3. How do I get rid of my old garbage cart and recycling cart?
- Waste Pro will remove your existing garbage and recycling carts at the time your new carts are delivered.
Q4. What can I recycle?
- The recyclable items that are collected as a part of your current recycling program will continue to be the same. Additionally, plastics containers # 1-5 and glass of all colors will be recycled. Acceptable recyclable items will be listed on a label located on the lid of your blue recycling cart.
Q5. What if I have white goods that need to be picked up?
- White goods such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, water heaters, and other items will be picked up on your bulk service day. Bulk trash and vegetative trash should not be combined and should be placed at the curb/alley in separate piles. A published schedule will be mailed to you and a collection schedule for all services will also be posted on the City’s website.
Q6. I have cleaned out a rental house and have a large pile outside. Can I have a truck pick it up?
- The allowable limit for bulk collection is (20) twenty cubic yards of bulk waste per bulk collection day. If your pile is larger than (20) twenty cubic yards it will be tagged, and you will need to call Waste Pro and request a special bulk pick up. We will then have a supervisor review the pile and give you an estimate on the additional materials at a charge of $21.00 per yard for yardage over the 20 cubic yard limit. Upon your approval of the extra charge we will pick up the pile. You may opt to keep the additional trash and set it out on your next bulk collection day for no additional charge if the pile is less than (20 ) twenty cubic yards.
Q7. I just moved in. What if I have a lot of boxes?
- Flatten the boxes and place them at the curb next to your blue recycling cart and we will pick them up on your recycling collection day. Boxes larger than 18” X 24” must be set out on your bulk pick up day for recycling collection.
Q8. My garbage cart is dirty will you bring me a new one.
- No, residents are responsible for cleaning their own carts. The cart can be hosed off and cleaned with bleach.
Q9. I just received my garbage and recycling carts can I use them now?
- Waste Pro begins service on February 1, 2021. Garbage and recycling carts will be delivered beginning in February and continue through March 31, 2021. Begin using your new carts immediately upon receiving them. Waste Pro will pick-up your old garbage and recycling carts at the same time the new ones are delivered.
Q10. I am doing construction on my house and I put a toilet and sink at the curb. Will they be picked up?
- No, this is construction debris and is NOT considered part of your bulk waste program. You can call Waste Pro at 954-967-4200 and ask for a special pick up and estimated cost.
Q11. I have 4 tires to dispose of, will you take them?
- No, this is unacceptable material waste and is NOT considered part of your bulk waste program.
Q12. What if my garbage or bulk was missed?
- Waste Pro will collect any missed pick-ups that are called in before 12:00 p.m. by 5:00 p.m. that same day. Calls received after 12:00 p.m. will be collected by 12:00 p.m. the following day. All missed collection will be pick-up within 24 hours. For a quicker response time for collection issues residents are urged to utilize the Waste Pro Trac-EZ web based tracking https://www.wasteprousa.com/north-miami-beach/ This program will instantly notify our field supervisors of all service-related matters and result in a quicker response time.
Q13. When can I expect to receive my new Waste Pro provided garbage and recycling carts?
- Waste Pro begins service on February 1, 2021. Garbage and recycling carts will be delivered beginning in February and continue through March 31, 2021. Begin using your new carts immediately upon receiving them. Waste Pro will pick-up your old garbage and recycling carts at the same time the new one is delivered.
Q14. What do I do if I want to change out the size of my garbage and/or recycling cart?
- All residents will be receiving a 96-gallon garbage cart and a 65-gallon recycling cart. If after 30 days you would like to change it out for either a smaller or larger 96 cart you, simply go on the Waste Pro Trac-EZ web site https://www.wasteprousa.com/north-miami-beach/click on the request tab and ask for the smaller or larger cart. Carts will be delivered in 30 days from date of requested change.
Q15. What if I need extra garbage or recycling carts?
- Additional carts can be purchased for $75.00.
Q16. Who do I call if my garbage cart or my recycling cart is not picked up?

Q17. What do I do if a wheel breaks off my cart or I have problem my lid?

Q18. What if I am disabled?
- Waste Pro offers side door service to any resident who is disabled and is unable to bring their trash and recycling to the curb. In order to qualify for this service, the resident simply needs register with the City of North Miami Beach and provide them with the documentation.
Q19. Do I need to bundle my yard waste?
- No, you can leave it at the curb for pickup.
Q20. How much bulk/yard waste will I be allowed to put out at one time?
- Twenty (20) cubic yards per bulk collection service day.
Q21. What about holiday collection?
- The only collection holiday is Christmas Day. If one of your collection days falls on Christmas Day, your garbage will be picked up on your next scheduled pick up day. . Example: If your garbage collection days are Mondays and Thursdays and Monday is Christmas Day, December 25, your next scheduled pick up day would be on Thursday December 27. All excess trash set out at the curb on the next collection day after Christmas Day and it will be collected.
Q22. What happens if I have more garbage than will fit inside my cart?
- Options are:
- (1) Attempt to recycle all you can
- (2) Request a special pick up by calling Waste Pro
- (3) Defer non-organic materials to next pick up.
Q23. Will residents who live in duplexes must share carts under the new City Service contract with Waste Pro?
- Duplexes are single family dwelling units, and each will receive one garbage cart and one recycling cart. Duplexes will not share carts.
Q24. When will my garbage be picked up after the Christmas Holiday?
- If one of your collection days falls on Christmas Day, your garbage will be picked up on your next scheduled garbage pick-up day. Example: If your garbage collection days are Mondays and Thursdays and Monday is Christmas Day, December 25, your next scheduled pick up day would be on Thursday December 27. All excess trash set out at the curb on the next collection day after Christmas Day will be collected.
Q25. I live in a high-rise building. How do I recycle?
- If you live in a high rise building 96-gallon recycling carts will be provided to your building. These carts will be in the dumpster enclosure area for residents to use.
