UPDATED 1/9/2016 ATTENTION – RESIDENTS OF BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC:

Due to inclement weather, all solid waste and recycling services for Buncombe County have been suspended. All residential garbage and recycling collections that would normally on Monday, January 9th, will now be collected on Saturday, January 14th. All other Buncombe County residential customers will be receive service on their regularly scheduled day, weather and road conditions permitting.

UPDATED 11/23/2016 – ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF DELTONA, FL:

Due to law enforcement activity and an ongoing investigation, the following streets have been blocked, impeding collection services:

  • Lombardy/Normandy heading towards Hancock

UPDATED 10/12/2016 ATTENTION WASTE PRO CUSTOMERS IN COASTAL FLORIDA, GEORGIA, AND SOUTH CAROLINA

Coastal Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina have experienced a major hurricane with high winds and flooding. Waste Pro and other waste collection companies serve these communities and are working closely with every city and county.

During this post-storm clean-up period, you may experience delays in services including yard waste, household garbage, and recycling collection. Much like other utility companies, we are working diligently to restore your services to their normal schedules, with crews working long hours to keep pace with the enormous volume of garbage and storm debris.

Additionally, we are experiencing high call volumes at our offices. Please do not call alerting us to delays in collection, as we have Supervisors verifying zones as they are restored to regular schedules. We ask for your patience as we strive to reach every single customer as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause you.


UPDATED 10/12/2016 – ATTENTION DELTONA, FL RESIDENTS:

Due to Hurricane Matthew and the amount of items curbside, we will be running later hours than normal. Please be patient. Items placed curbside will be picked up.

Waste Pro will be picking up yard waste in bags, small bundles and cans. In addition to your normal yard waste pick up, the City is providing additional support to residents that have storm related debris of yard waste and external construction material, only that is curbside. Bulk items will be picked up the day after your regular garbage day and will not have to be called in at this time.

Regular garbage and recycling collection services have resumed in your area, road conditions permitting. Please note, those who usually receive service on Mondays will receive service today, Tuesday, October 11th. If we are unable to complete these routes by the end of the day, please leave carts/cans curbside, as services will be completed the following day. This one day delay will continue through the end of the week.

Yard debris collection services are resuming in your area, road conditions permitting. We anticipate high volumes and will work to clear as much as possible, as quickly as possible. All residents who usually receive yard waste collection on Mondays will be serviced starting today, October 11th, and will continue until complete. Please note we will continue to run at least one day behind schedule, through the end of the weekend.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE….All yard waste and storm debris will be picked up by Grubbs Emergency Services for the next few days.

  • Roads being cleared by first responders on Friday
  • Pick up will start Saturday morning
  • Residents must separate vegetation from other storm debris (fences, shingles, etc.)

All streets will be given a 1st pass sweep.

We will begin accepting roll-off can requests 48-hours post-storm and will be reduced to 24-hour turnaround times on requests made before Tuesday, Oct.11th.

Due to continuing inclement weather and poor conditions of many of the roads in Buncombe County, Waste Pro has been unable to reach some residential areas for service today (1/25). We will service as many neighborhoods and homes as safely possible today and residents not receiving service today will be collected next week, according to their regular schedule. Services scheduled for the remainder of this week will continue as planned.

UPDATED 1/22/2016 – ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF DESOTO COUNTY, MS; MEMPHIS, TN; AND ARLINGTON, TN:

Due to inclement weather, Waste Pro will NOT be collecting garbage or recycling on Friday, January 22nd. Weather permitting, services will resume tomorrow, Saturday, January 23rd, for residents who were originally scheduled to receive service on Friday.

Should severe weather prevent services from being conducted on Saturday, January 23rd, those residents will receive service on Monday, January 25th, along with all regularly scheduled services.
