In preparation for Hurricane Irma, the follow solid waste and recycling service schedules are being implemented.

All solid waste, recycling, and commingled waste will be collected as scheduled through end of day Thursday, September 7th.
All collections for solid waste, recycling, and commingled waste are CANCELLED for Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th.
We hope to resume service as scheduled Monday, September 11th, but will not make an official decision until we are able to evaluate the impact of Hurricane Irma.

3 Important things to remember:
1) If your collection has been cancelled it will most likely resume on your next regularly scheduled collection day. For example, Friday garbage collection will occur Tuesday, September 12th. Friday recycling collection will occur the following Friday, September 15th. Friday commingled collection will occur the following Friday, September 15th.
Scheduling may adjust depending on impact from Irma.
2) Do not place any bulk or yard waste items out for collection, as these will likely not be collected until after the storm.
3) Make sure to secure your carts during the storm. Carts can be placed in your garage, car ports or inside of porch areas.

a. If they must remain outside do not leave them in the alleyway as they may be lost during the storm and you will be without containers for an extended period of time.
b. If leaving them in your yard, empty all garbage and recycling into bags and place bags in your house.
c. Additionally you may want to tie them to a fence or tree and attempt to keep them out of direct wind as they can become flying projectile objects.
