Waste Pro Awarded $180 Million in New Municipal Contracts April 15, 2008 During the first quarter of 2008 Waste Pro USA, Inc, (Waste Pro) headquartered in Longwood Florida, has been awarded four (4) new major long-term exclusive municipal contracts for solid waste and recycling collection. These new contracts provide for service to over 140,000 homes and an additional 4,000 business and industrial locations. The exclusive service contracts are for Palm Beach County, Orange County, Manatee County and the City of Crestview Florida. Orange County will be served from Waste Pro’s existing Orlando facility. The other three (3) contracts will be operated from new facilities that Waste Pro will establish in Palm Beach and Manatee Counties and the City of Crestview. The four (4) new contracts will account for over $180 million during their initial life. The contract terms vary from five (5) to eight (8) years in length and provide for further long term extension options. Waste Pro, established in 2001, has grown from operating two (2) trucks with five (5) employees to become the Southeast’s largest privately held solid waste and recycling collection company currently operating over seven hundred (700) trucks and employing over twelve hundred (1,200) people.
