Chip Gingles has more than 20 years of experience in the waste industry. A graduate of Hampton University with a degree in marine and environmental science, Chip began his career working for Republic Services in 1998, fulfilling various positions over 16 years throughout the Carolinas and Virginia, including General Manager. Chip also served as a Territory Manager for Sara Lee, where he further developed his sales and management skills.
In addition, Chip has served as a consultant to several companies looking to improve technology and operational efficiency. Chip’s work has earned him several performance awards for exceeding both financial and operational metrics.
Chip joined Waste Pro in 2015 as Division Manager of the Asheville facility. In 2017, Chip assumed the role of Solid Waste Director for Buncombe County, where he gained valuable experience in the public sector and developed an understanding of the government perspective and process regarding waste and recycling services. He returned to Waste Pro in 2018 as Divisional Vice President of North Carolina in Charlotte.
As Regional Vice President of North Carolina, Chip continues to oversee Waste Pro operations across the state. He supervises 250 employees who operate 160 trucks, servicing more than 160,000 residential customers and approximately 7,500 commercial customers across the state.
