FORT MYERS, FL – September 23, 2021 – Starting October 1, 2021, Waste Pro will begin service to 8,000 new customers in the Ave Maria and Immokalee areas of Collier County, Fla.
Customers will continue to receive twice-weekly pickup of solid waste as well as weekly pickup of recycling, yard waste, and bulk items. There will be no change in service days and customers can continue using their same carts. Approximately 8,000 residential customers and 500 commercial customers will now receive Waste Pro service.
Employees from the previous hauler will stay onboard with Waste Pro to ensure a smooth transition and three new trucks will be added to the local fleet to ensure all customers receive service as scheduled.
To better support Waste Pro’s new customers, Waste Pro is also opening a new office in Immokalee, located at 120 Jefferson Avenue West.
“Our Southwest Florida market has grown exponentially over the years,” said Fort Myers Division Manager Bill Jones. “We could not be more excited to expand and become part of this community. We couldn’t have done it without a full team effort, and we look forward to bringing that same effort to our customers.”
