BATON ROUGE, LA – JUNE 1, 2021 – Baton Rouge Mayor Sharon Broome and members of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber joined Waste Pro to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting at the new six-acre Waste Pro facility on Flannery Road.
The new site, located at 1774 N. Flannery Road, is home to 60 employees. More than 30 trucks in the Division serve more than 25,000 customers, according to Waste Pro Divisional Vice President Jesse Murphy.
“We don’t take it lightly when we have businesses who land in Baton Rouge and we want you to know that we consider you a part of the fabric of our community,” said Mayor Sharon Broome. “[It] adds value to our economy and to the citizens of our community.”
The New Orleans Saints’ mascot, Gumbo, and cheerleaders, the Saintsations, also stopped by to join in on the celebration. Waste Pro is proud to be the Official Waste & Recycling Services Partner of the New Orleans Saints.
Waste Pro runs two other divisions in Louisiana – New Orleans (located in Kenner), Covington, and Cajun Country (located in Houma).
