LONGWOOD, FL – September 21, 2026 – Waste Pro USA has again been recognized among Central Florida’s largest privately held companies, earning the No. 3 spot on the Orlando Business Journal’s 2026 Golden 100 list. The recognition marks the 16th year the company has ranked among the Golden 100’s top five companies, highlighting the company’s sustained growth and longstanding presence among Central Florida’s leading privately held businesses.
Waste Pro also ranked on the Orlando Business Journal’s Fast 50, which recognizes Central Florida’s fastest-growing companies based on three-year revenue growth. In addition to the Golden 100, and the Fast 50, as part of their Book of Lists, OBJ also released a list of privately held companies with revenues over $1 billion. Waste Pro ranks No. 6 among companies exceeding $1 billion in revenue.
Founded in 2001 by John J. Jennings and headquartered in Longwood, Florida, Waste Pro has grown from a single operating location into one of the nation’s leading privately-owned solid waste and recycling companies. What began with a single truck and just $800 in revenue during its first month has grown into a company with more than 5,700 team members, more than 140 operating locations across 12 states, and projected revenues to exceed $1.6 billion in 2026.
Today, Waste Pro provides residential, recycling, commercial, construction, and industrial solid waste services to millions of customers throughout its growing service footprint. Organic growth, strategic acquisitions, and long-term relationships with municipal and commercial customers have helped drive the company’s success.
“Twenty-five years ago, my father started Waste Pro with a vision to build a different kind of company — one where our people come first and where growth is earned through service, relationships, and doing things the right way,” said Sean Jennings, President & CEO. “To be recognized among Central Florida’s largest and fastest-growing private companies, and to have ranked among the Golden 100’s top five in 16 of our 25 years, is a testament to the vision my father had and to the thousands of people who have helped build Waste Pro.”
This recognition comes during Waste Pro’s 25th anniversary year, which has included employee celebrations, community initiatives, and continued strategic expansion. The milestone provides an opportunity to recognize how far the company has come while continuing towards building a bright future. As the company continues to grow, Waste Pro is investing in technology, safety, operations, and the cornerstone of the company, its people.
“These recognitions reflect the hard work of our people and the strong foundation built over the past 25 years,” Jennings said. “We are proud of what we have accomplished together, but we are just as focused on what comes next. We remain committed to investing in our people, our communities, and our operations as we continue building Waste Pro for the next 25 years and beyond.”
