LONGWOOD, FL – November 6, 2024—Waste Pro hosted an event at the company’s corporate headquarters in Longwood, FL, celebrating two Florida employees who reached 20 years of service to Waste Pro. The event’s highlight was the presentation of a $10,000 bonus to each of the honored employees by Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Keith Banasiak, who shared the company’s appreciation and commitment to the two for their long-time service. The festivities also included a catered lunch and a crystal plaque.
Among the employees honored during the celebration were Nick Bruno, a Grapple truck driver based in the Daytona Division, and Linda Madernini, the regional office manager for the Southeast Florida division. At the end of October, three others within the company were honored at a similar ceremony in Athens, Georgia: Sybil Ginn, Corporate Contract and Acquisition Administrator; Stanley Lattimore, Roll-Off Driver; and Tom Wassel, Commercial Sales. All three are based out of the Waste Pro Athens Division.
The celebration at the Longwood Corporate office was heartwarming, with Keith sharing personal stories of each recipient. These stories, which highlighted the unique contributions and experiences of the employees, underscored the close working relationships he has developed with long-term employees. The event was touching and memorable, with Nick sharing that this is the best job he has ever had and how happy he has been over the last 20 years working at Waste Pro. One of his sons also works for the company, making it truly a family business for the Brunos. Linda previously worked with Keith, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer Cort Sabina, and when she was hired at Waste Pro, she convinced Keith and others to join the Waste Pro team. Keith shared stories of those early days working with Linda and the company’s growth through the years. Linda has also been recognized as a Women of Waste Pro. She has worn many hats at the company including office manager, Regional Administrator for multiple regions, has worked in human resources for the Ft. Pierce, FL Division, and has been part of 50 startups and acquisitions across the footprint from Florida to North Carolina to Louisiana. She’s now the regional office manager for the Southeast Florida Region based in Fort Pierce.
Keith shared a heartwarming message, “Waste Pro is nothing without people; after all, we are a people company. And with the loyalty and commitment that Linda and Nick show us here at Waste Pro and to the people and communities they serve, we have a bright future ahead of us. Thank you, Linda and Nick, for living the Waste Pro Way and always being the Distinguishable Difference. Your years here at Waste Pro have been a true blessing.”
