TALLAHASSEE, FL – September 24, 2025—Waste Pro is proud to announce that Mi-Lim Chun has been promoted to Regional Vice President of the company’s Coastal Region. In this role, Mi-Lim will oversee Waste Pro divisions and post-collections facilities in Florida’s panhandle, including Crestview, Midway, Tallahassee, Pensacola, and Panama City, as well as Mobile, Alabama.
With over 20 years in the solid waste and recycling industry, Mi-Lim brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Mi-Lim joined the Waste Pro family in 2014 as Regional Controller for the Coastal Region. Prior to her time at Waste Pro, Mi-Lim held various positions at WM, Bank of America, and KPMG, including roles as an internal auditor, pricing manager, operations improvement manager, and business process improvement manager.
“This is an exciting opportunity to expand my support and commitment to excellence for the Coastal Region, and I look forward to working more closely with all the managers in this new capacity,” shared Mi-Lim. As Regional Vice President of the Coastal Region, Mi-Lim will manage five hauling facilities, three satellite offices, two transfer stations, and four active landfills across north Florida and into southern Alabama. She will provide leadership to the 385 employees who operate 200 trucks each day, servicing more than 230,000 residential and nearly 7,100 commercial customers in the region. Mi-Lim, who is committed to further improving Waste Pro’s operations and customer service, will be the first woman to hold the role of Regional Vice President within the company.
Cort Sabina, Waste Pro’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who hired Mi-Lim more than ten years ago, shares, “Mi-Lim has been vital to the growth, stability, and success of the region. As controller, she improved performance, established processes that increased profit margins, and contributed to multiple critical municipal contracts and new business opportunities. This is well deserved, and we are thrilled to have her step into this role.” Senior Vice President and current Regional Vice President Ralph Mills will assume additional responsibilities at the executive leadership level. “I am so proud of Mi-Lim and how she has become an integral part of every important decision for the region. We are excited to have Mi-Lim step up and take on leading the region in this capacity,” shared Ralph.
Mi-Lim is a graduate of the University of North Florida, where she earned dual master’s degrees in Accountancy and Business Administration, with a concentration in logistics, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in economics, banking, and finance. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident in her completion of a Certificate in Process Management from the University of Florida.
