GERMANTOWN, TN – December 3rd, 2018 – Josh Vickery, the newly-appointed Divisional Vice President for Waste Pro’s Memphis division, has been selected to join the Leadership Germantown Class of 2019. The organization seeks to “develop well-informed, effective leaders in our community.” Vickery was chosen based on his goals for professional growth after completing the program, in addition to his community involvement.
As a member of Leadership Germantown, Vickery will have the opportunity to learn about business, government, public safety, medical facilities, and more, to develop a deeper understanding of how these key components of the city operate. He plans to translate that insight into further growth as the city’s solid waste and recycling provider.
“Being a leader in Waste Pro, it is my top priority to make sure we are ever present and at the forefront in every community that we serve,” Vickery said. “Everyone can learn something from anyone, in every walk of life.”
Vickery and Waste Pro have a longstanding connection with the city and its residents. In 2017, the city declared June 20th National Garbage Collector Day to thank Vickery and local staff for “exceptional service to the residents of Germantown.”
