FORREST COUNTY, MS January 28th – Forrest County Supervisors announced on December 20th the acceptance of a new solid waste bid from Waste Pro, resulting in savings for Forrest County residents.
Beginning February 1st, Forrest County’s current garbage service subscribers will see the new rate of $11.65 per month, per household, which will be billed to customers on a quarterly basis. This new rate includes collection of one garbage container per household. Additional containers will be serviced for an added cost of $7.00 per container, per household.
“We are excited to show the residents of Forrest County the level of superior customer service Waste Pro is known for. We intend to do everything within our power to ensure a smooth transition,” said Waste Pro Division Manager, Reggie Collier. The new service contract is for a term of five years, with the option of a one year renewal, and includes once per week service.
Residents will continue to use their current garbage containers provided by the previous solid waste company. New subscription customers will be provided with one Waste Pro garbage container at no additional charge. Current service days and routes will remain the same. However, garbage collection times may vary.
Services will be provided by Waste Pro’s facility located at 7547 US Hwy. 98 West in Sumrall.
