Residential Recycling

Household Recyclable Material is collected one (1) time per week. Your pickup schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Please click on the following link for a map of your service area: Map of Recyclable Materials Service Area.

An unlimited amount of recyclable material may be placed curbside for collection in City provided 14-gallon recycle bins. The Contractor will leave behind all materials not accepted in the program. A tag indicating the reason will be left.

(Please place in separate bins as specified)
*No exceptions*

First Recycle Bin

  1.  Pasteboard (i.e. cereal boxes, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, soda boxes, beer boxes, tissue boxes, gift boxes, clean pizza boxes and shoe boxes)
  2.  Brown paper grocery bags (no wax, no liners)
  3.  Cardboard (flattened and cut down to fit inside the recycle bin)
  4.  White and colored paper, newspapers, magazines, catalogs and telephone books

Second Recycle Bin

  1.  Plastic bottles and jugs #1-7 (#’s on bottom of container) (Remove all lids)
  2.  Glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown) (Remove all lids)
  3.  Aluminum cans
  4.  Steel cans (such as food cans)
  5.  Empty non-hazardous aerosol cans (remove nozzles)

*Please rinse out all containers and remove all lids*


  1.  Plastic bags, planting pots or plastic trays (even those with #1-7 on the bottom)
  2.  Electronic devices
  3.  Motor oil or pesticide containers
  4.  Drinkware (i.e. plastic cups, paper cups)
  5.  Paper plates
  6.  Light bulbs
  7.  Aluminium foil or pie plates
  8.  Paint or pesticide cans
  9.  Egg cartons and Styrofoam
  10.  Broken glass (i.e. window panes or mirrors, etc.)
  11.  Wax coated cardboard

When in doubt…throw it out!
