10/10/24 Asheville Solid Waste Collection Service Update
October 10, 2024 – Our priorities in this unprecedented time are the safety of our employees and the communities we serve.
Commercial Service Update – Waste Pro of Asheville will provide services to Essential Commercial Customers only.
Thursday, October 10: Waste Pro will run normal routes for household trash to accessible locations in Arden and Fairview. Waste Pro will also have trucks located at Ingles 225 Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, and Glen Arden Elementary, 50 Pinehurst Circle, Arden.
- Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is for household bagged trash only.
Friday, October 11: Waste Pro will run regular routes in Weaverville and Barnardsville.
- Drop-off sites: Please drop off bagged household trash at the trucks located at North Buncombe Pool, 734 Clarks Chapel Road in Weaverville. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We diligently work with our local municipal and county partners to restore services while ensuring the safety of our employees and all those impacted by Hurricane Helene. We will continue to update this site as new information becomes available.
10/7/24 Citrus County Weather Update
Attention Citrus County customers:
Our office will be closed on Thursday, October 10, 2024, resulting in two days behind the regular schedule.
- Thursday service(s) moved to Friday
- Friday service(s) moved to Saturday

10/8/24 Orlando Weather Update
Due to Hurricane Milton’s probable impact, the Orlando Waste Pro location has the following changes to services for the week of October 7th.
Attention Maitland Customers:
- No services on Wednesday, October 9th, and Thursday, October 10th.
- Customers normally scheduled for trash services on Thursday will be rescheduled to their next regular service day, on Monday, October 14th.
- Recycling services makeup day will be the next regularly scheduled service day, Thursday, October 17th.
- Services regularly scheduled for Friday, October 11th, are tentatively planned as scheduled, pending weather and road conditions.
- Saturday, October 12th, will be for yard waste pick-up only.
- All other services plan to be back on a regular schedule starting on Monday, October 14th.
Attention Town of Windermere Customers:
No services on Wednesday, October 9th, and Thursday, October 10th.
- Customers usually scheduled for trash services on Wednesday will be rescheduled to Saturday, October 12.
- Services regularly scheduled for Friday, October 11th, are tentatively planned as scheduled, pending weather and road conditions.
- Saturday, October 12th, will be for yard waste pick-up only.
All other services plan to be back on a regular schedule starting on Monday, October 14th.
Attention Winter Park Customers:
- No services Wednesday, October 9th, Thursday, October 10th, and Friday, October 11th.
- Yard waste will be collected on Saturday, October 12th.
- There will be no make-up days.
- All services plan to be back on a regular schedule starting Monday, October 14th.

9/29/24 Tallahassee Weather Update
Attention Tallahassee and Leon County customers:
Due to Hurricane Helene, Leon County and customers in Tallahassee will have an adjusted service schedule for the week starting Monday September 30th. To catch up on missed days, Waste Pro, working with the City will adjust the residential solid waste collection by two days during the coming week.
The schedule is:
- Thursday, Sept. 26, customers ► Monday, Sept. 30
- Friday, Sept. 27, customers ► Tuesday, Oct. 1
- Monday, Sept. 30, customers ► Wednesday, Oct. 2
- Tuesday, Oct. 1, customers ► Thursday, Oct. 3
- Wednesday, Oct. 2, customers ► Friday, Oct. 4
- Thursday, Oct. 3, customers ► Saturday, Oct. 5
- Friday, Oct. 4, customers ► Sunday, Oct. 6
Garbage and recycling containers should be placed at the curb for pick-up the evening before collection day, and both containers should be returned to the home no later than the day after collection.
Liberty County, Wakulla County, and Gadsen County customers:
Regular service schedules will resume on Monday, September 30th, pending road and weather conditions.
- Services will resume on your next scheduled pick-up day, starting Monday, 9/30.
