Customers in the City of Maitland will have a make-up recycling day on Saturday, July 5th.
Your service will resume on your next regular scheduled day.
- City of Deltona: Friday’s residents will be serviced Saturday, 7/5.
- Lake County: Friday: Recycling services will be on Saturday, 7/5.

Please place your household garbage, recycling, yard trash, and bulk curbside by 6:30 a.m. on the day of your service or you may set it out the night before. Please do not place bins within three (3) feet of objects such as mailboxes, parked vehicles, fire hydrants, trees, poles, or other bins.
Household Garbage
This includes food scraps, packaging, clothes, and other non-recyclables. All garbage must be bagged and placed inside the bin. For curbside collection, place the bin(s) within six (6) feet of the curb with the wheels facing toward your house, lid opening facing the street.
Yard Waste
Includes grass, leaves, shrubs, tree trimmings and palm fronds. All yard waste is to be bagged, containerized or in tied bundles, except for palm fronds (they may be neatly stacked). The bags and/or bundles of limbs must be less than 50 pounds. Limbs should not exceed 4 feet in length or 3 inches diameter. You may have up to 10-12 bags, tied bundles, or placed in cans on yard waste day (accumulated for your home).
Recycle
ACCEPTABLE RECYCLABLE ITEMS
- Pasteboard (i.e. cereal boxes, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, soda boxes, beer boxes, tissue boxes, gift boxes, clean pizza boxes and shoe boxes)
- Brown paper grocery bags (no wax, no liners)
- Cardboard (flattened and cut down to fit inside the recycle bin)
- White and colored paper, newspapers, magazines, catalogs and telephone books
- Plastic bottles and jugs #1-7
- Glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown)
- Aluminum cans, (such as food cans)
- Empty non-hazardous aerosol cans (remove nozzles)
*Please rinse out all containers and remove all lids*
NON-ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
- 1Plastic bags, planting pots or plastic trays (even those with #1-7 on the bottom)
- Electronic devices
- Motor oil or pesticide containers
- Drinkware (i.e. plastic cups, paper cups)
- Paper plates
- Light bulbs
- Aluminum foil or pie plates
- Paint or pesticide cans
- Egg cartons and Styrofoam
- Broken glass (i.e. window panes or mirrors, etc.)
- Wax coated cardboard
When in doubt…throw it out!
Please do not mix yard waste with your household waste or recycling. Minor construction or demolition debris, such as fencing, floor tiles, etc. are included in collection service. Residents may call Waste Pro for a price quote on collection of excessive amounts.

Bulk and appliances must be scheduled for pickup by calling 407-774-0800 (Option 1)
Bulk – (2) free pickups per month (not to exceed a total of 8 yards) this includes but is not limited to:
- Furniture
- TVs
- Empty large boxes
- Small remodels such as a toilet, a small cabinet, or cut up rolls of carpet (no more the 10 rolls)
- Dishwasher (mainly plastic)
- Empty water softener
- Broken down basketball hoop
These will be scheduled for the same day as your yard waste day. If items are already out, the items will be scheduled for pickup and removed within 3 business days of your call. For excessive amounts (over 8 cubic yards), charges may apply.

These will be scheduled for pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Requests must be made by 3:00 p.m. the day prior for next-day service.
Fence debris, lumber or construction-type debris is not included in regular household bulk waste: Special pickups require a site visit, charges apply for these types of pickups.
For special pickups that require a claw truck, there is a minimum charge of $85.00. Paid pickups area scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) items are NOT picked up at curbside and require special handling and disposal. Residents should bring these items to the HHW Collection Center, located at the Central Transfer Station, 1950 State Road 419, Longwood. The center is open from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday – Saturday, excluding holidays, and accepts materials such as:

E-scrap is the term used to describe end-of-life electronics. Computer components and televisions are specifically targeted for recycling because they contain high levels of lead. E-scrap is accepted at no charge from private households at the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Center, located at the Central Transfer Station, 1950 State Road 419, Longwood. The center is open from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday – Saturday, excluding holidays.
Businesses may NOT bring electronics to the facility except during special collection events.

Services for commercial trash and garbage and recycle can be provided at least one (1) time per week for customers that generate dry waste, and at least two (2) times per week for customers that generate putrescible waste (e.g. restaurants).
Services are provided seven days per week.
Waste will be collected in carts (for small businesses that don’t have room for a frontload dumpster), frontload dumpsters, open-top/roll-off dumpsters, or compactors. Carts are available in 96-gallon size. Frontload dumpsters are provided in 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-cubic yards in size. Compactors and open-tops/roll-offs are available in 20, 30, and 40 cubic yards.
