In observance of these holidays, Waste Pro will not be collecting solid waste and recycling.
- New Year’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
For the remainder of the week, service will occur the next day.
- Monday moves to Tuesday
- Tuesday moves to Wednesday
- Wednesday moves to Thursday
- Thursday moves to Friday
- Friday moves to Saturday
For all other holidays, there will be no service interruptions.
Welcome to Waste Pro Residents of New Orleans Area 3
Effective November 7, 2022
Waste Pro will proudly start as the City of New Orleans Area 3 waste collection service provider.
Collection for garbage, bulk, yard waste and recyclables will be once a week and on the same day.
Remember to Recycle
- Cardboard – flattened, no pizza boxes
- Paper – all colors and types
- Plastic Bottles and Jugs – empty and dry, replace cap
- Aluminum and Steel Cans – empty and dry

No plastic bags allowed in recycling cart
Proper Placement
- Bag household trash before placing it in your cart.
- Place your carts curbside the night before your collection day.
- Place cart with front facing the street and wheels toward the residence.
- Place carts 3 ft away from cars, trees and mailboxes.
- Do not block driveways or sidewalks.
- Branches should be under 6′ and neatly stacked/bundled.
- Don’t place any carts near power or utility lines.
