ALACHUA, FL – July 23, 2025We are thrilled to announce that Dayna Williams, Waste Pro’s North Florida Regional Director of Government Relations, has been elected to the Recycle Florida Today Board of Directors as Vice Chairman. This appointment is a testament to Dayna’s dedication and expertise in the field of recycling and environmental management.
Recycle Florida Today, Inc. (RFT) is Florida’s state recycling organization and premier association representing recycling and environmental professionals throughout Florida from the public, private, non-profit, and institutional sectors. RFT was formed to serve as a driving force in helping Florida implement its recycling goals and objectives. RFT continues to provide educational and networking opportunities for recycling for all Floridians, as well as support to local and state elected officials on laws and regulations affecting the recycling industry.

Dayna Williams, Waste Pro’s North Florida Regional Director of Government Relations, is a shining example of what it means to represent Waste Pro. Her commitment to our communities extends far beyond her 9-to-5 job, inspiring those around her to become integral parts of their local communities. In addition to her role at Waste Pro, she serves as City Commissioner, Seat 3 for the City of Alachua, Florida, and is involved in several other community organizations. Her dedication has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the Lions Club International Foundation recognizing her as a Melvin Jones Fellow in 2023 and the local Gainesville Elks Lodge honoring her with its Distinguished Citizenship Award in 2022. The publisher of Gainesville, Florida’s HOME Magazine and founder of the annual Fierce Awards of Greater Gainesville honored Dayna as a 2025 Fierce Award honoree. Fierce recognizes inspiring, game-changing women in the Greater Gainesville region.
