Waste Pro Donates Laptops to VA Hospital in Biloxi, MS
BILOXI, MS – January XX, 2023 –For over 14 years Waste Pro’s Laptops for Veterans program has assisted the veteran community. Waste Pro’s Gautier, MS Division Manager John Geboy was honored to deliver three new Microsoft Surface Pro laptops to the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System’s (GCVHCS) new 3D Printing Lab.
The laptops are a key component in a new program giving veterans enhanced technical and job skills. They will be the first step in configuring designs and transferring them to an SD Card for printing. GCVHCS recently hosted a 3D Printing workshop with subject matter experts helping set up the computers and printers in the lab and to learn the operations.
Waste Pro created its Laptops for Veterans program in 2009 to provide wounded members of the military and their families with new computers that can be used to communicate with loved ones during recovery, for education enhancement and personal development, and to research current events. “Caring for our communities is what we are all about,” said Waste Pro President/CEO Sean Jennings. “We are honored to give back to the brave men and women who selflessly dedicate themselves to protecting our freedoms. Many of our Waste Pros are veterans and this cause is near and dear to our hearts.”
Funding for the laptops comes from Waste Pro employees who regularly contribute to the Laptop for Veterans program.
