Residential Collection

Please place your household garbage, yard trash and recycling curbside by 7 a.m.

If you are physically unable to place your containers curbside, you may request a medical waiver from the city qualifying you for rear door services.

Household Trash: Should be properly containerized in Garbage Cans or bags. Cans and bags should be placed in an area adjacent to a driveway and not over five (5) feet from the curb, pavement, or edge of traveled way.

Yard Trash: Items such as tree limbs, tree trunks, palm fronds, etc., shall be cut in lengths of no greater than four (4) feet, if the item’s diameter is less than six (6) inches. No single item shall exceed forty (40) pounds. All yard waste must be bagged, bundled or tied for preparation of collection. This does not include Vegetative Garden and Yard Trash resulting from land clearing operation or preparation for construction or removal of trees or tree trimming by a landscaping Contractor or tree surgeon which shall be properly disposed of by the landscape Contractor. For item exceeding 40 pounds or diameters greater than 6 inches, a special pick up shall be required.

Customers may order special yard trash pickups for an additional charge.

Residential Bulk is collected one (1) time per week. On second garbage collection day.

Household garbage is collected one (1) time per week.

  1. Each residence will be provided a 96-gallon container.

Hazardous waste materials, such as paint, insecticides, motor oil, batteries, etc., are not collected and should be taken to the nearest hazardous waste drop off site.
