Ron Pecora October 28, 2016 Ron Pecora has more than 40 years of professional experience in marketing and brand management, relationship marketing, public relations, advertising, and community engagement for public and private clients. At Waste Pro, he manages corporate-wide internal and external communications, advertising, sponsorships, web and social platforms and collateral literature development. Prior to joining Waste Pro, Ron owned a strategic brand communications (public relations/advertising/community engagement) company for twenty years. Early in his career, he was the marketing director of a consulting engineering firm with 50 offices throughout the Southeast. Ron has been active in the Central Florida community, chairing the boards of many social service organizations, and served as a Commissioner of the Orlando Housing Authority. He has received the Public Relations Professional of the Year award in Central Florida and Chaired the Florida Statewide Marketing for Professional Services organization. While chairing the Coalition For the Homeless of Central Florida board, he accepted the Walt Disney World Board Management Award, which included a $50,000 check to the organization. Ron also led the community engagement for the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and the City of Winter Park referendum for internalizing the electrical utility service. The referendum passed with 70 percent approval. Ron is a 1968 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Journalism. He served as Journalist and Department of Defense spokesperson during the Apollo Moon Landing program while stationed at Cape Kennedy while serving in the United States Air Force.
