At Waste Pro’s Baton Rouge Division, that role is filled by Office Manager Casey Courtney.

Casey’s path into the solid waste and recycling industry was anything but traditional. Prior to joining the Waste Pro team, Casey was in the restaurant business. She holds a degree in the culinary arts and spent many years managing restaurants. While the industry differed, the skills she developed—organization, adaptability, leadership, and the ability to perform under pressure- proved highly transferable and instrumental to her success at Waste Pro.

After years of long days in the restaurant industry, Casey began looking for a career that offered greater stability, growth, and work-life balance. “My family was young, and I needed better hours and a career path I could truly build on,” Casey explained.

That search led her to a management role at the Ronaldson Landfill, where her operational discipline and ability to manage complex workflows quickly set her apart. “My background helped me keep operations organized, and I was constantly learning,” she said.

Two years later, Waste Pro acquired the Ronaldson Landfill and retained Casey in her role. Soon after, Regional Management expanded her responsibilities, placing her in charge of Ronaldson Landfill and three additional landfill locations across the state. “This opportunity represented a significant professional milestone,” Casey said. “It came with increased responsibility, but I was committed to meeting expectations and delivering results.”

As Waste Pro reorganized its hauling operations in Baton Rouge, the company hired Division Manager Dan Moore. Within a week of his arrival, Casey was asked to transition to the Baton Rouge Divisional Office as Office Manager while also assuming the responsibility for the Green Meadows Transfer Station.

“The learning curve was substantial,” she noted. “Landfills are the final destination. Hauling operations involve multiple service lines operating simultaneously—residential, commercial, construction, front-end, and roll-off.”

Her leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving approach quickly established her as a key driver of operational stability. Dan Moore describes Casey as an essential part of the division’s success. “Casey is the glue that holds everything together,” Moore said. “She ensures consistency, accountability, and smooth day-to-day operations.”

With experience spanning across landfill, transfer, and hauling operations, Casey plays a critical role in cross-functional coordination and continuity. “Many customers utilize multiple Waste Pro services, so that operational overlap adds real value,” she explained. “Waste Pro has consistently encouraged my professional growth, and leadership listens when I bring forward ideas or concerns. That level of engagement makes a meaningful difference.”

Casey’s contributions have helped build a loyal and growing customer base in the Baton Rouge market. “My priority is making sure both our customers and our team members are treated with professionalism and respect,” she said. “Our customers know they can expect reliable service. That commitment is shared across the division.” She credits the Baton Rouge team’s collaborative culture as a significant factor in its continued progress. “There is a strong sense of teamwork here,” Casey said. “People are willing to step in and support one another. Dan has cultivated a culture built on people, partnerships, and trust.”

While the division continues to evolve, Casey remains focused on operational excellence and team development. On a personal level, her role at Waste Pro has also provided balance. “I now have the time and energy to be fully present for my family,” she shared. “Waste Pro has allowed me to leverage my existing skills while developing new ones. I am stronger professionally and personally because of it.”

The Baton Rouge Division has experienced significant growth and transition, but as Casey notes, progress has come through teamwork, discipline, and a shared commitment to excellence. “We’ve grown together, and we’ll continue to move forward—one step at a time,” shared Casey.

BATON ROUGE, LA – February 17, 2026: At every successful organization, there is a professional who serves as its operational glue—ensuring continuity, accountability, and execution.
