This is the 15El Por último, la empresa se ha situado entre las cinco primeras durante este año consecutivo. La empresa también ha sido clasificada como una de las empresas de más rápido crecimiento de la Florida Central en la lista “Fast 50”. Orlando Business Journal’s 2025 Golden 100 list celebrates Central Florida’s largest privately-owned, locally-based companies, and the Fast 50 list recognizes the region’s fastest-growing businesses based on revenue growth over the past three years.
Waste Pro, founded in 2001 by John J. Jennings, is based in Longwood, Florida, and began with a commitment to creating a more sustainable future through innovative solid waste and recycling solutions as well as a focus on investing in local relationships with community partners. From its first month serving customers from a single truck with revenues reaching only $800, Waste Pro quickly became one of the fastest-growing private solid waste and recycling companies nationwide. With projected revenues on target to exceed $1.4 billion in 2025, Waste Pro provides residential, commercial, and industrial solid waste services to more than two million residential and 100,000 commercial customers throughout its 12-state service footprint. Waste Pro employs over 5,000 people and operates a fleet of more than 4,200 trucks from over 140 operating locations. The company also operates 32 landfills, 20 transfer stations, and four recycling facilities.
In 2020, John’s son, Sean Jennings, took up the family legacy, bringing a lifetime of industry knowledge to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer. As the company approaches its 25El anniversary, Sean shares Waste Pro’s dual focus: continuing to grow, while remaining privately-owned and family-operated. “We are thrilled by the Revista de negocios de Orlando acknowledgment and excited to be at the top of the leaderboard once again. This has been a banner year for Waste Pro’s strategic acquisitions and municipal partnerships, contributing significantly to our growth. We can attribute a great deal of our continued success to our status as a privately-held, family-owned company, because we have the flexibility to grow organically without the constraints of corporate red tape.”
