Waste Pro Enhances
City of Salisbury Recycling
Program on July 2nd
Residents of the City of Salisbury will see an increase in service delivery and recyclable items, beginning July 2, courtesy of a new contract with Waste Pro.
City staff and officials are looking forward to watching the participation increase from the current average of 35 percent, as a result of the expanded list of acceptable items. These newly accepted items include juice boxes, coated plastic cartons, wide-mouth containers, and shredded paper.
In addition to the expanded list of acceptable items, residents have received new 96-gallon recycling collection carts from Waste Pro, along with a service schedule magnet. The new easy-to-use carts hold significantly more than the bins residents have used in the past and can be rolled to the curb for pick-up.
Collection will take place on residents’ regular garbage pickup day, on a biweekly basis. The services will be managed by Waste Pro’s facility located at, 185 Manor Avenue in Concord.
